Mining Companies Make Acquisitions Due to High Coal Price

The increase in coal prices is forcing a number of mining companies to intensively increase production and expand their business, and several are planning to acquire new mines.

In addition to increasing its production target from 1 million tons to 25.54 million tons this year, PT Bukit Asam Tbk is also preparing inorganic expansion by acquiring as yet unidentified mining land. The state-owned company is allocating capital expenditure of Rp 6.5 trillion this year.
