BI Increases Export-Import Opportunities Using Rupiah

Bank Indonesia (BI) has established a local currency swap arrangement with the Australian Central Bank (RBA) to reduce dependence on the US dollar.

BI International Department Director Erwin Haryono said this cooperation would facilitate trade between the two countries so they no longer need to trade using the US dollar and only use local currency exchanged by each central bank.
